- for solo viola (2010) TIME ETUDES - from VULNUS
Time etudes is a cycle for one performer playing two recorders and singing a third line. Irene Sorozabal Moreno's unique talent for such coordination virtuosity inspired Sztojanov to use limited 3 notes motive from John Dowland's 'Time stands still' - on each flute in a different key. Different instruments have different tunings, the combination defines an interval. Thus the etudes is a series, with one etude for each interval possible.
